My Optimized Blog Search Results
Hello Campers,
Well first let me apologise for my blog being offline for a few weeks, I have been searching through the maze of incredible information available in the wonderful world wide web to find the best optimized blog utilities, resources & training for my needs.
When I first embarked on my internet marketing career, I was bombarded with knowledge that required time to absorb and even though I first heard about the importance of blogging way back when…. I simply did not have the head space to really get it off the ground. In fact when my original free wordpress.com blog got shut down on me, I just couldn’t believe it!! All I did was post a review and banner ad about Traffic Swarm, one of the few traffic exchanges I started out using.
After that little episode where I lost lots of good quality content (and it’s happened again recently through my mucking around with hosting accounts), I simply shifted my focus towards other learning and sharing techniques such as video marketing and have successfully followed that path for quite a while.
About a month ago one of my business partners and I got together to launch a big project and we were driven to learn more about how powerful it is to create a website from a wordpress blog.
So I set about to get all the knowledge I could gather about how to use wordpress, why wordpress is the preferred blog by so many and what tools were available to streamline the process of writing posts, incorporating my videos and generally just learning how to get tons of traffic.
So to start off my BRAND NEW blog, here is a review of what I have discovered in my search for a complete package:-
- Jack Humphrey is an internet marketer who has realised the power of blogging a bit later in his career, but through his contacts has built some of the best blogging software available on the market.
- Authority Black Book is an awesome overview of how to link web 2.0 social networking with your blog and automate just about the entire process.
- He has 2 membership sites on offer and 4 of THE most incredible tools for time leverage (I LOVE THEM)
Jeff Johnson’s Underground Training Lab
PRO’s
- Jeff provides a tremendous amount of value in his free video trainings at www.youtube.com/jeffjohnsonvideos
- Once you are on his list, you will be kept up to date with all massive product launches as this guy is a keynote speaker at all of the major Guru events and good friends with all the guys I respect in this Industry.
- Quality video tutorials on how to install the optimized blog on your hosting.
- He is a spunk
Con’s
- I found the website difficult to navigate to find the ‘how to’ video’s
- While I could follow the instructions to create my SQL database for a manual install, my business partners found it difficult to duplicate, and thus I spent WAY too much time helping them install their blogs
- The handful of themes are nice, but there is definately not enough choice amonst the free downloads
- There is a painful error that occurs when creating new posts and pages, it is easy to overcome, but newbies get quite stressed about it
- Ryan Diess launched this incredible program on the 23rd September, 2008. The information he is sharing is very impressive and super comprehensive.
- With this program you will learn how to take an ordinary old Wordpress blog and turn it into a massive money making machine.
- I highly recommend this training, it has quite simply given my business a whole new outlook.
- Start with the 3 introductory video (and they are free!!)

There are tons of free themes which are very easy use. When you are more advanced you can pay for higher quality themes that provide some super features eg:-
- Elegant Themes lovely choice, very affordable and good support (thanks Nick)
